Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, distribution, formulation, metabolism and off target activity such as Herg and Pgp (transporters) are key areas of focus.

As team member, Singulair for the treatment of asthma was discovered and brought to market. Recent notable achievement was the discovery of Merck's first clinical phosphodiesterase-4 inhibitor L-454,560 which has clinical efficacy for the treatment of asthma.
