Extensive experience architecting high traffic, high scalability and high availability and eCommerce websites or other Internet transactional application. Extremely proficient with web-related technologies and standards such as HTTP(s), AJAX, DHTML, JavaScripts, and CSS.
Hands-on development experience with object-oriented design and Java/J2EE server side applications.
Deep understanding of J2EE design patterns and frameworks such as Structs, Spring, Hibernate, etc.
Deep understanding of full software development lifecycle methodologies and concepts of scalability, performance, and maintainability
Experience with end-to-end application performance tuning, including back-end database layer, application server/web server layer and UI layer.
Foundational knowledge of other technical areas such as networks, capacity planning, security, and integration.
Proven technical leadership. Ability to create and promote guiding development principles, and influence development team, business users and management in adopting advanced technical solutions.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with technical and business communities at all levels.
Well versed with latest industry trends and development.Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Application servers and web servers JBoss, Websphere, Weblogic, Apache. SQL/Oracle, Unix/Linux, Perl/Shell Scripting.
J2EE technologies JSP, Servlets, JMS, JMX, JDBC, etc.
OO design tools: UML, Rational, Enterprise Architects AJAX libraries such as MooTools, YUI, Dojo, GWT, JQuery, etc.
Experience with ATG platform (Commerce, Content Administration, Merchandising, CSC) is highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the life-cycle of eCommerce application development projects. Participate in overall project management, time estimation, and resource scheduling.
Work on complete end-to-end solutions from the back end systems all the way to the front UI components.
Develop and maintain application architecture standards, policies and procedures. Work with business user teams to discuss, recommend, explain, and reconcile desired functionality and technology capabilities.
Help diagnose and resolve escalated production performance and stability issues.
Work with QA team to set the load testing standards and participate in load testing to find performance bottlenecks as needed in the e-commerce application releases.
Collaborate with DBAs, Network and Server administrators to ensure the system infrastructure is fully aligned with application needs.
Advise eCommerce IT senior level managers and executives to provide technical expertise, and project direction.
Identify, evaluate and conduct proof-of-concepts for new technologies and lead development of core architectural components.
Mentor the e-commerce IT organization in understanding and adherence to architecture design standards and guidelines. Promote knowledge sharing within the technical communities.
