Be a senior software engineer participating in the architecting and building of the AlikeList platform. We are looking for an experienced and outstanding engineer with the following:

• Ability to lead development in a fast paced, test-driven, Agile development environment
• 5-10 years experience in software design and development including Java, PHP, MySQL, Apache, Linux is required
• Strong skills in Java programming, Java design patterns, and server side Java.
• Search experience ( Java + Lucene ) is required
• Strong experience with object-oriented analysis, design and programming (OOA/OOD/OOP)
• At least 4+ years proficiency and experience with SQL, large data-sets, queries and schemas
• Strong understanding of issues involved with server side software, scalability, performance and reliability
• Ability to work proactively and cooperatively on a collaborative team that includes engineers, designers and product managers
• Entrepreneurial drive with demonstrated experience to deliver very high quality products within committed deadlines
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent, MS/PhD desirable
