Applied Engineering Technology, Inc. / Applied Engineering, Inc. has an opening for a Technology Sales Consultant. This position is based out of Maple Grove, MN. The Technology Sales Consultant is responsible for selling and marketing CAD/CAM/CAE software and services, including Autodesk Digital Prototyping solutions. Responsibilities include pursuing and establishing contact with prospective and existing customers, setting up meetings with executives and department managers within a named territory, demo presentations and closing sales opportunities.

Requirements include: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree. 3+ years direct sales experience successfully selling manufacturing software services. Proven track record creating new business opportunities and developing existing accounts. Enthusiastic about lead generation, not afraid to cold-call and prospect for new business opportunities. Above average communication skills with business acumen. Proficient in the areas of word processing, spreadsheets, CRM software, e-mail, and the Internet. Must be available and willing to travel on a minimum basis.

The successful candidate is an outgoing self-starter who projects a professional and winning image, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, is comfortable working in a customer-oriented business, has the ability to engage in technical process discussions and has experience selling manufacturing software solutions, preferably CAD software solutions.
