POSITION SUMMARY

The successful candidate will work with a dynamic group of people in the product delivery team focused on the development and integration software for new BlackBerry Handhelds.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work on the design and development of software components for control of RF transceivers.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Extensive C programming experience required
• Experience controlling RF transceivers
• Hands on experience with test tools and equipment e.g. Anite, Rhodes & Schwartz, Racal, Agilent
• Experience with 3GPP and 3GPP2 suite of protocols
• Experience with GCF and SFN testing for mobile devices will be a valuable asset
• 2 - 5 years of full-time, non-co-op work experience
• Expertise and knowledge of integration with hardware as well as debugging and supporting hardware verification is a must

ADDITIONAL ASSETS
• Assembly language programming experience (ARM, Intel or other)
• RTOS device driver development expertise in embedded software environment, cross compiler and related tools knowledge
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of taking on responsibility for a substantial portion of a project
• Independent work ethic to bring tasks to completion
