A growing international consulting and software development company is looking a junior programmer with 1 to 2 years experience to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ. The qualified candidate will need excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work closely with highly analytical, experienced software developers. Your role will encompass work on a variety of engineering and software development and system integration projects.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements.
• Maintains and modifies software programs.
• Tests and troubleshoots programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
• Tests and documents programming modifications.
• Evaluates simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
• Analyzes performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
• Resolves questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
• Documents programming problems and resolutions for future reference.

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science preferred
• Programming and proficiency in Java, XML, HTML.
• Knowledge of some of the following frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, SOAP, Design Patterns, and CMM.
• Familiarity with J2EE, Apache Ant, Apache Tomcat, Servlets, JSP, Swing, Log4J.
• Knowledge on planning and scheduling processes a plus.
