Location: NYC / Duration: 6 -- 12 Months / Pay rate: Open/ Client -- Financial

Develop and support Fixed-Income trading & analytics applications, primarily in C++, with some .NET. The role primarily focuses on supporting existing applications and developing new Analytic components. Additionally, the role also implies working with the desk to determine requirements and deliver solutions in a timely manner. The business-area is fixed-income analytics (scenario calculation of OAS/Duration/Price/Yield metrics of bonds and derivatives), and demonstrable knowledge of the field is required.

The candidate is expected to:
- Develop mortgage analytics to be used by the trading desk and clients.
- Capable of directly working with the business-lines for their needs, Should be able to prioritize business needs.
- Building analytic technologies to be delivered to the desk, both for pricing and risk.
- The job will include quite a bit of programming, with much interaction with the business-lines.
- Direct involvement with mathematical models/analytics for mortgage products

The candidate is expected to be an extremely qualified developer of the highest caliber, capable of independently extracting requirements, deducing development tasks, and delivering components. Key points include:
- Mastery of C++ with a minimum of 5 years experience
- 5+ years -- Analytics (Fixed-Income)
- 5+ years working directly with trading desks
- Experience working with distributed systems
- Multithreaded server side programming experience
- Strong knowledge in the RMBS space
- Knowledge of prepayment models and term-structure models
The candidate will be working on tools with exposure to the internal front-office users. As such, the exposure and growth possibilities are great.
The role offers the opportunity to greatly expand the candidates knowledge of fixed-income and mortgage analytics to a fairly deep level (down to the details)
