Role:
Design and development of multiple J2EE development projects that enable internal applications and customer self-service through browser-based applications. Full-time position with benefits. Office location is at the Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield, MA.

Required:
* End-to-end development ownership of enterprise applications
* Backend technologies: J2EE, JSF, Servlets, and Hibernate
* Frontend technologies: XHTML, Facelets, RichFaces, JSTL, JSP, AJAX, JavaScript, and CSS
* Experience with the following development practices: iterative development methods, refactoring, design patterns, testing, design models, code management, and specification documenting
* Solid understanding of Web container models
* Hands-on experience with multiple J2EE persistence strategies (DAO, OR-mapping, JDBC, transaction demarcation)
* Experience with SQL: MySQL and MSSQL
* Object-oriented and service-oriented design, including knowledge of data transfer objects and associated design patterns
* Experience with source code control systems (SVN preferred)
* Solid understanding of Linux
* Experience with JBoss application server
* Problem solver with proven debugging and diagnostic skills
* Able to quickly learn and enhance an existing code base, while building solutions in unchartered areas
* Proven ability to address complex, multi-faceted challenges with a positive approach
* Excellent communication with the ability to solicit and formalize requirements
