Summary

As the Director, of e-business, you will provide in-depth expertise in re-vamping the e-business and taking e-commerce to the next level. This will be accomplished by working in a collaborative manner across the organization through strong leadership, innovative thinking, and setting the strategic and tactical direction.

You will oversee IT project coordination, resource management, leadership of IT staff, as well as communication with the executive team, business unit leaders, and customers. Responsibilities include directing all e-Business development and operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.


Responsibilities:

• Translates e-business strategy into executable projects
• Directs the planning, programming, testing and implementation of electronic commerce systems, including the corporate portal.
• Directs the planning for e-procurement, billing, usage reports, and catalogues to satisfy customers' unique requirements
• Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable. Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts
• Represents the IT function at customer review meetings when appropriate
• Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions
• Produces detailed time lines for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status
• Identify opportunities and recommend solutions that will enhance or improve current business processes.
• Supports and ensures operating viability of e-Business application environment for all hours of operation; routinely tunes system for optimum performance.
• Oversee project management for e-Business related undertakings, including clear capture of business requirements, provision of functional deliverables, milestone planning, and project post mortems.
• Assist in developing and managing a budget for technology, IT services, and personnel.
• Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases and services.
• May be called upon to assist the sales team in presenting our e-commerce story

Qualifications:


• Minimum Bachelor's degree in computer science, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required.
• Minimum 7 years of direct work experience in an IT management capacity required.
• Advanced overall knowledge of e-commerce technologies in a B2B environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Web design/application principles and tools.
• Good overall knowledge of programming concepts, software development cycles, and associated tools and platforms, including Microsoft .NET framework and IBM I-series architecture.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Oracle databases.
• Highly effective project management skills.
• A strong understanding of operations with the ability to lead technical staff
• Exceptional leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences.
• High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, problem solving and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of applicable governance including PCI and SOX.
• Some experience managing budgets for an IT department.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
