The Student Systems Administration Team Manager will provide leadership in developing and maintaining a secure, robust, highly reliable, highly available and disaster tolerant Student Systems application environment. Establish and maintain monitoring and reporting systems that allow effective communication of the infrastructure operational status. Plan, develop, monitor and manage the budget and capital equipment process required to support the infrastructure. Work across multiple organizations to assure appropriate communications and coordination with management, customers and internal and external departments. Represent the technical group on advisory, policy and project committees. Participate in administrative processes for human resource actions (hiring, promotions, terminations, disciplinary procedures and salary adjustments) for the Banner Administration team. Provide technical consultation and support.

IT Systems & Operations (ITSO) is a department within the central computing organization at Purdue, known as Information Technology at Purdue ( ITaP). ITSO provides central services such as: Exchange, file services, Active Directory, web, application, database hosting, co-location and more. ITSO coordinates and maintains more than 700 servers, 400 databases, 500 websites, 60,000 email users and four data centers. Key student systems such as Blackboard/Vista and myPurdue as well as HR/Financial systems are among those managed by this organization. ITSO services more than 50 organizations, departments and colleges across the University and Regional Campuses.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Science or related fields.
•At least three years of progressively responsible experience in administration and support of enterprise client-server systems.
•Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.
•Experience leading technical projects and staff.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Demonstrated planning, project management, leadership, and supervision skills.
•Thorough understanding of the skills, processes and procedures necessary to maintain complex 3-Tier application lifecycle environments.
•Ability to effectively guide, lead and develop technical employees promoting team relationship skills and communication.
•Demonstrated ability to successfully organize and lead large complex technical projects.

Preferred:
•High level understanding of SunGard/Banner Student Systems Application architecture and foundational infrastructure architecture.
