SUMMARY:
The primary goal of this position is to ensure the accuracy of accruals and payments posted to the trade fee payables section of the balance sheet. Also responsible for updating scorecard style status reports, formal reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and posting of journal entries.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Draft and upload journal entries into the general ledger
• Trade Fee Payable Accounting
• Update reconciliations
• Investigate discrepancies and propose solutions based on findings
• Provide ad hoc analysis for special request from internal customers
• Assist in the month end close process
• Assist in the validation of execution invoices received
• Coordinate intra-company settlement of rebates and recharged to Calyon affiliate offices
• Daily reconciliation of CBOT and CME clearing fees using web based exchange billing systems
• And other duties or projects, as assigned


REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 3-5 years accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to drill down on an issue to find the root cause and propose a solution
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Access,
• A willingness to learn web based exchange fee billing systems
• Mainframe based query experience
• Familiarity with futures industry trade flows and industry terminology.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced, ever changing business environment


DESIRED SKILLS:
•Brokerage Industry experience preferred but not required
