Ardent MC welcomes candidates with extensive experience in database management, process and data modeling, and database configuration to apply for our Sr. Database Management Specialist position.

The Department of Homeland Security's National Operations Center has selected a team, including ArdentMC, to assist in the design, development and implementation of a new Common Operating Picture Toolset (COP). The COP provides multi-source situational awareness to the Department of Homeland Security and its wide constituency, including state, local and federal partners.

The Sr. Database Management specialist will be responsible for assessing and implementing a wide variety of data-oriented technologies to assist with the automation, ingestion and triage of a variety of data sets both structured and unstructured. The Sr. Database Management Specialist will work closely with other team members implementing cutting edge solutions to enhance the overall effectiveness of the DHS NOC COP.

Skills must have: Data modeling, database experience, Process modeling

Skills nice to have: Oracle technologies, DHS Experience

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate for the Sr. Database Management Specialist will bring an in-depth knowledge of database management systems (particularly, Oracle-based products) and will have unique experience in both process and data modeling supporting information technology initiatives. Further, the Sr. Database Management Specialist will have strong communications skills supporting team and client interaction.

Specific duties and skills associated with the Sr. Consultant include:
• Data assessment and deconstruction
• An understanding of XML Data structures
• The ability to develop relational and object-oriented data models
• Experience working in a heterogeneous technology environment
• The ability to work autonomously
• Ability to decompose processes and build process models
• Ability to evaluate hardware and software configurations in support of mission requirements
• Ability to translate user requirements in to technical specifications for implementation

• Secret clearance
