Client is engaged with industry leading providers of enterprise information storage solutions from companies such as EMC, HDS, Symantec, and Network Appliance. The storage team works in partnership with IBM, HP, Sun/Oracle, and x86 teams to provide storage solutions from these manufactures.

Experience:

Must be able to interact with the customer.
5+ years in a technical or sales overlay position, with either Mainframe or Open Systems (Windows, Linux, or Unix) experience.

Ability to own and orchestrate storage sales initiatives and resources in a team selling environment.

Experience working in a role that is quota driven.

Familiarity with at least one major backup/recovery software framework (EMC Networker, Symantec NetBackup, and IBM TSM) along with a knowledge of general backup/recovery concepts such as database logging, backup leveling, media management. This should also include working knowledge of industry leading tape and tape library solutions.

Familiarity with SAN technologies and their practical applications in disk and tape solution design. Ideall this includes Fibre channel, FCoE and IP based storage network solutions.

Education

B.S. degree or equivalent in a CS related field.

Certs

2 Technical Certs with EMC, HDS, NetApp, HP, Symantec, and/or IBM Storage.

Skill requirements:

Excellent written and oral communication

Proven ability to call on prospective clients at technical and management levels sales situations concerning enterprise storage requirement and solution definition; conduct presentations and workshops with clients, document and present design solutions to customers.

Demonstrated motivation and initiative and the ability to work independantly as well as part of a high performance team

Must Have:

Currently located in Boston area.
5+ years experience providing storage solutions with EMC, NetApp, HDS, Symantec, HP, or IBM
5+ years working in a technical sales role
Experience with assigned quota objectives and measurements

Base salary is in the 125,000-135,000 range
