A leading provider of business enablement solutions delivered through advanced IT infrastructure and managed outsourcing solutions has an opening for a Pre-Sales Engineer. The Engineer will operate out of a home office and can be based in Connecticut, Massachusetts (this will cover the CT territory), NYC or Northern New Jersey.

The highly motivated self-starter who fills this position is responsible for the overall technical architecture and design of internetworking and wireless mesh solutions. The Pre-sales Engineer performs comprehensive discovery analysis and definition of client issues and documents implementation in the form of a technical (“blue-print”) solution. The Pre-sales Engineer will design leading-edge solutions containing a wide variety of technologies.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Provide consultation and design services
Determine scope and developing proposals
Provide pre-sales consulting support
Coordinate installation, migration, consolidation and support plans
Ensure all projects deliver a quality product on schedule with a completely satisfied customer
Develop high-level professional relationships with customer
Ensure company is delivering the required service(s)
Provide documentation for configurations and processes
Requirements:
5+ years experience in the network industry
Detailed knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
Detailed knowledge in Cisco Wireless and Wireless Mesh technologies
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to recognize business opportunities
Willingness to travel

Bachelor's degree in computer science or business with equivalent experience
Industry certifications (CCIE, CCNP)
Pre-sales support experience

A stable work history is required. Must be comfortable giving white board presentations. Position requires extensive customer interface.

Base salary is in the $100,000-$120,000 range.
