**Are you excited about the idea of working with Microsoft Silverlight on more of your projects? Finally, this is your chance to be part of a team responsible for revamping all custom developed systems into the Microsoft stack, which will include Silverlight as a key architecture component. The project is essentially at the beginning, so this is a great opportunity to join a multi-year effort that will include complex Silverlight and C#.Net integration to ERP and several client facing systems. This effort is championed by key business executives and must be completed to help grow the company more efficiently and more quickly.





Responsibilities:

This person will be the Silverlight expert and development resource for the team, which is responsible for a major architecture rebuild
Aid in the architectural design of software, including lead responsibility for Silverlight.
Develop quality code that meets the architectural design.
Build applications of many varieties including browser-based, web-based, and rich-client.
Integrating custom-built applications with other legacy and ERP systems.
Migrate systems from legacy codebases to a .NET stack.
Following all internally defined standards for software development and testing.
Create technical documentation as needed.
Continuous improvement mindset highly desired in respect to the quality of internal development systems and processes.
Required Skills

Minimum 5 years experience in .NET development

Must have at least one significant project with Microsoft Silverlight

Heavily prefer expert level Silverlight skills

Bachelor's degree required (BS CIS/MIS preferred)
Full system development life cycle (SDLC) experience.

Experience (3+ years) and expertise with .NET 3.5, C#, SQL

Must understand of basic data concepts such as RDBM, OLAP, and reporting

Preferred Skills


ASP.NET, HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, WCF, or WPF
“Web 2.0" and SOA design concepts and client-server design concepts
Shrink-wrap or enterprise experience
Reporting suite experience such as SSRS or Crystal Reports
ALM tools such as Team Foundation Server
Windows SharePoint Services 3.0


Baseline Skills

Must have excellent and fluent English verbal and written communication skills

Must have strong listening skills

Must be a strong, independent problem solver

Organized with strong time management skills

Ability to learn new technologies quickly

***This consultant will be paid on a 1099 or corp-to-corp basis for an estimated 6 months, afterwhich time the client intends to hire this person as a key resource. The end client has an excellent benefits plan, profit sharing, and a stable history extending over several decades. They offer a relaxed yet highly professional and fast paced work environment.
