As our Senior Product Manager based in Austin, TX, you will manage the complete product lifecycle of Bigfoot Networks line of products. Market research, strategy, competitive analysis, positioning, requirements definition, user experience, roadmaps, forecasting, pricing, financial analysis, training and migration will be part of the daily challenges that you will face in this one of a kind role. As our sole product manager, you will be the driving force behind the inception, planning, development and delivery of products to market. Reporting to the V.P. of Marketing, you will play a leadership role in managing multi-platform, multigenerational product releases in concert with other teams including engineering, marketing, sales, operations, finance and support.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the strategy, research and execution of product vision for our portfolio of hardware and software solutions.

Define roadmaps and requirements (PRDs) by articulating market needs based upon market research, customer inputs, and experience.

Drive products through various stages of the product life-cycle.

Work collaboratively with engineering to refine requirements.

Primary market research to include usability studies, customer interviews, focus groups, and online surveys.

Balance schedule, scope and resource constraints while driving program milestones.

Develop business cases/ plans, and make recommendations to our senior management team regarding trade-offs and future product directions.

Manage inventory and transition plans during product refreshes.

Engage with partners, press, industry organizations and others to further business initiatives.



Skills/ Requirements:

7+ years of progressive Product Management experience in any of the following:


Enterprise Software Products

Computer hardware (ideally consumer oriented) Products

Products that are Systems Oriented and meld Hardware/Software is ideal

Networking or Gaming Peripherals experience is ideal


Successful track record managing complex development projects and launching multiple product releases at both large companies and startups.

Experience having been personally responsible for new product definition and requirements and have previous experience driving a product through various stages (requirements, development, testing) to launch.

Solid experience working up and down the protocol stack, knowledge of how computer hardware/software systems work together, and comfortable interacting with engineers and having technical conversations.

Management experience is ideal as this role may grow to manage a team.

Online gaming experience is a plus.

Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in engineering, management or technical field is desirable.

MBA is a plus.
