Job Requirements

Our Client is seeking qualified, experienced Senior/Mid-Level Software Developers to work as a Direct Hire or Contract with an Option-to-Hire in support of one of our client's software development projects involving remote monitoring of U.S. Navy ships, Rail Trains, and General Aviation Aircraft.

Essential responsibilities include:

Apply strong Java 2 EE development skills to analysis, design and development of Java centered custom applications
Participate in requirement gathering and be involved in research and analysis
Participate in the full project life cycle
Follow through the projects to implementation, installation and support
Develop enhancements to existing web-based applications to expand capabilities
Provide technical support for existing applications and processes
Test and document changes as per the requirements
Work closely with project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of software products to customers
Work in conjunction with team but able to work independently with minimal supervision
Communicate with other teams and customers to fill in the blanks; excellent oral/written communications skill is required

Key Requirements include:

4+ years of experience in Information Technology
3-5+ years in application development using Java EE technologies; must have some experience with EJB 3.0 and Java 5 (J2EE 1.5), Netbean IDE
Glassfish Application Server knowledge a strong plus
STRUTS framework experience
Strong experience with building and maintaining websites
Strong Relational database experience, Oracle preferred
Toplink JPA (Java Persistence API) for Database access
Oracle Database knowledge a plus
Struts Framework
Java Message Service (JMS)
Experience in web services, ESB, and AJAX; Swing Preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Any experience in the condition based maintenance would be a definite plus

Must Have:

Java J2EE - Must have current Java 5 (J2EE 1.6)
Java EJBs and NetBeans - Must have experience with EJB 3.0
(J2EE 1.5 or EJB 2.0 experience might be considered current enough, but not preferable)

Struts / Hibernate
Glassfish Server
SVN - Source Control
HP Quality Center - Requirements Tracking
Agile Scrum project experience
Ajax knowledge
