Job Title: SQL Server Developer
Location: DC
Duration: 8 months

We are looking for a MS SQL Server developer to join an Application Development team. Responsibilities include expert level database development. The position involves the design, development and enhancements in a MS SQL Server 2005 environment. The person will be responsible for developing SQL Scripts, performance tuning of existing SQL scripts and procedures. Experience working in finance sector is must. Experience of developing applications for Accounting and a Back office system is preferred.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science and at least 5+ years of programming experience
SQL Server 2005 (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) (preferred)

Technical Knowledge:
SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, DTS packages, advanced stored procedure development.

Experience:
Extensive SQL Server skills, Solid understanding of relational database designs / concepts
Strong development experience using MS SQL Server 2005 tables, views, stored procedures, etc.
Experience using SSIS.
Experience defining and building necessary audits and controls to ensure the accuracy of the data.
Experience troubleshooting SQL Server related issues.
Ability to research and resolve technical issues independently.
Must have good communication skills
Reporting Services, Notification Services, Indexing and Full-Text Search.
Experience in Finance Sector, Experience in supporting Investment systems, particularly portfolio accounting and trading functions will be an added advantage. Knowledge of SunGard Investran will be a plus
5+ years experience with T-SQL development and performance tuning T-SQL code.
5+ years with MS SQL Server, most recent experience using 2005 version.
Sybase database experience is a plus.
