DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Managing the KDB database to include providing new functionality as required; (2) Writing q scripts and applications; (3) Providing support of existing KDB applications; (4) Data cleaning of the KDB time series, development of sanity checks, and filters and adaptive cleaning algorithms; (5) Developing functions that provide access to KDB from various development platforms, including Python and C++; (6) Troubleshooting and resolving data quality and data flow problems; (7) Managing the KDB time series repository and associated q library, developing tools to monitor the data acquisition integrity and the data quality and maintaining their time series database and associated Q libraries.

REQUIRED:

3 years of experience with the KDB database providing new functionality, writing scripts and applications, providing KDB support, and managing data flow and data repositories.

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT proficiency in Q programming language (q-god level).

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT hands on experience with scripting language, preferably Perl and Python.

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT SQL and data modeling skills.

MUST have a strong background in financial markets, financial products and historical market data.
