Job Title: FIX Connectivity Engineer.
Location: Stamford, CT.
Duration: 6 Months

Functional Title: Deployment and Testing (DAT)

Position Description:
This role is for a team member within the FIX Deployment and Testing team of Client Connectivity IT.

The DAT team is responsible for working with the business Direct Execution Services Team, IT teams, and the external sell-side client to manage the on-boarding process of FIX testing and deployment. The technology covers electronic order capture, single orders, Lists, Algorithmic Trading, ETD, Options, FX, DMA, Allocations and IOI.

This high-profile role requires candidates to have both IT and business skills to enable them to operate effectively with internal teams at the bank and external client organizations.

The ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple, concurrent and conflicting priorities and deadlines is required.

Candidates should have a strong background in technology operations and application life-cycle management in the financial markets industry.

Must have the ability to follow-up on requests and manage client expectations accordingly.

Candidates must be able to gain internal support; operate independently with limited supervision; and establish a solid working relationship with member firms, vendors, technical staff, business executives, and peers.

Experience Required:

• Some knowledge of financial services sector e.g. cash equities
• Knowledge of UNIX, Oracle/Sybase, Microsoft Office
• Experience with desktop computers, file servers, network/Internet connectivity and/or remote access.
• Knowledge of FIX
• Verbal communication and listening skills.
