This senior Linux system administrator is responsible for providing support, analysis, administration, and implementation of complex Linux servers in a SAAS (software as a service) and/or web based environment. This person may lead other Linux and network administrators in project implementations or complex problem solving situations interfacing tightly with members of the software development staff. Position requires the sourcing, analysis, and recommendation of various open source tools to perform continuous points of monitoring with servers, storage, network, and applications.



Proven and documented experience of all elements of a LAMP stack (linux, apache, mysql (or sql or DB2), and php must be demonstrated.Experience building server deployments is desired. They must have strong Linux scripting capabilities including either Shell or Bash, and Perl or Python. Individuals must have a strong understanding of TCP/IP networking including DNS, VIP and troubleshooting.



Experience desired:



At least 7 years as a senior administrator/system analyst performing extensive hands on experience administering systems and performing system analysis of LAMP stacks in web based/SAAS based environments, and leading other system administrators in similar efforts.



Suse Linux Enterprise Server (version 9,10,11), Red Hat version 5, Apache, Resin or JBOSS Java EE application tools, Apache with Tomcat.

Position #2:



Title: Sybase SQL Developer



Location: Somers, New York



Duration: 3+ months



Minimum Requirements:



3-5 years Sybase SQL Development. Work is being done in a Siebel Environment.

Any Siebel experience is a plus

Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements.



Description:

They need a Sybase SQL Developer to do Stored Procedure Work.

Need someone with 3-5 yrs Sybase SQL Development experience.

The work will probably go thru the end of the year (and could go much longer.)

They have about 100 defects that need to be fixed.

Some are on the front end, which will be in Java but most are on the back-end / stored procedures accessing the database.
