Chesapeake Urology Associates, the premier Urology practice in Maryland, is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our IT department, located in Owings Mills, MD.

Position Description:
The Systems Administrator/Technical Support position functions as part of CUA's technical support team and will have direct responsibility for the Windows 2003 environment performing duties on a wide range of servers and systems. The position supports all of the windows server hardware / software installations, configurations, patch management, and hardware / software monitoring solutions.

The successful candidate will also provide technical support for a wide array of users. She/he will assume ownership of technical projects and work with other members of the organization to bring projects to completion. A broad skill-set will be needed to be successful in our diverse environment. This is a hands-on position and the candidate will be expected to interact at all levels of any project (analysis and research, recommendations, implementation, testing, training, etc?) as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Systems administration includes configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of any issues that arise
• Managing the Active Directory implementation and configuration
• Monitoring, implementation, and support of all server based hardware and enterprise applications
• Group Policy implementation and maintenance
• Maintain standards documentation
• Monitor system logs and activity on all Domain Controllers
• Manage distribution and coordinate installation of software updates (application and operating system updates)
• Monitor backups
• Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing
• Evaluating and recommending support tools, applications, appliances to improve the technical operation

Qualifications
• The position requires a full understanding of Microsoft software solutions (Windows 2003, Active Directory, Terminal Services, LDAP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, DFS, RAS, RIS, Windows Clustering, Group Policy, and IIS administration)
• 3 to 5 years of practical experience in Windows Systems Administration and Windows Active Directory Administration (MCSE-2003 preferred). Scripting for Active Directory, specifically VBS or WMI
• Experience utilizing group policies
• Working knowledge of VMware
• Good oral and written communication skills - effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Experience with Exchange 2003/2007 administration
• Understanding of Windows XP workstation OS
• Ability to use Active Directory utilities
• Knowledge of scripting; creation, modification and execution
• Demonstrates knowledge of basic security principles related to network operations and file server security
• Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities and assignments

Additional Skills:
• Experience with MS-SQL database administration
• Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (as an end user and/or administrator)
• Experience with WSUS, SMS, or Operations Manager
• Experience with backup applications such as Symantec Backup Exec 10d (or later)
• Experience with SAN Management Technologies
Experience with developing Crystal Reports templates and reports
