•Help to design and develop the tools and resources to implement a fully automated, large-scale, cloud-based, virtual data center.
•Identify, tune, and deploy new infrastructure tools to meet the needs of a highly scalable, rapidly growing web-based service.
•Provide build, deployment, monitoring and diagnostic tools to the development teams to improve engineering productivity and software quality
•Working closely with software engineers to tune performance and identify problems.
Qualifications
•5+yrs experience administrating complex clusters of servers in production environments
•Expert skills at the Linux command line and be well versed in standard Unix tools: sed, grep, awk, diff, etc.
•Tomcat/Java experience is a must
•Be highly proficient to expert in a scripting language such as Perl or Python
•Ruby experience is a plus
•LDAP expertise strongly desired
•Expert bash scripting abilities
•Be knowledgeable about AWS/EC2/S3 tools, APIs, and interfaces
•Experience with Puppet, Chef, or comparable configuration tools
•Virtualization experience
•A deep knowledge about how to measure performance, identify and fix bottlenecks, and re-architect large systems that are already in production
•Ability to work closely with our operations manager lead to quickly develop software to improve operations
•Minimum of 2 years of previous experience working on large-scale SOA sites
