POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will lead the re-design and development of a state of the art national scale longitudinal Geocoding system.

The system forms a critical part of the computing and application infrastructure that produces one of the nation's premier sources of data about trends in employment, hiring, job creation and destruction and earnings, with unprecedented details about geography, age, gender, and industry, including historical data. The system will be capable of cleansing and standardizing residential and workplace addresses from a variety of inputs and Geocoding them for use in several state of the art data web-based products.

The candidate will work as a lead and systems architect. The position will require leadership skills, the ability to work with others and seek out information and answers, and the ability to work independently.

Excellent writing and communication skills are a must.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Geocoding experience with large databases
-Programming and coding skills; ability to read, write, and develop applications
-Linux/UNIX administration skills
-Experience with large heterogeneous datasets; Database design skills
-Excellent writing, communication, and briefing skills

DESIRED SKILLS:
-Group1, CODE-1 Geocoding software experience
-SAS programming experience; Perl, Python, Java Experience
-Census TIGER/ GIS Data experience
-Labor Economics knowledge/background
