Role Summary
The IT Specialist role supports the defining, documenting, and validating the key business processes required to execute the Purchased Parts area and aligning these business processes to appropriate technology solutions. She/he plays a lead role in business application (system) project implementation to assure that key business process metrics are addressed as part of the system rollout. She/he is also responsible for understanding the technology roadmap for VWGoA and how this technology roadmap impacts the business process(es) within Quality Assurance purchased parts. This individual involves her/himself in activities related to training of personnel to implement all systems identified as vital to align activities with corporate standards. Setting and reporting on key performance indicators is also parts of hers/his responsibilities.
Qualifications (Skills & Experiences & Education)
Years of experience: 3-5 years of experience working with database and informatics systems
Education
Required: Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar
Desired: Master in Business Administrative
Exposure to SEP Software Development Process.

Proficiency in Process Management and in Project Management

Training in Germany for Networking and Knowledge of group processes related to the area.
Role Responsibilities
Key User for several VW IT systems.
Facilitate the training of employees and suppliers in new quality group systems.
Creation and / or maintenance of databases to track and evaluate all quality relevant data for supplier quality performance.
Creation, update and distribution of monthly report regarding supplier quality information to internal VW group customers.
Calculating and communicating supplier scorecards (supplier ratings) for all suppliers.
PPAP, APQP tracking.
Coordinate the implementation and update of quality management systems within the group
Programming of diverse databases to support all activities within the quality group.
Create and maintain Business Architecture documentation for transparency.
Create Application (System) Lifecycle Plans
Indentify from the VWAG Master Construction Plan (MCP) the current and future generation of Group Solutions as potential successors for the current processes and systems.
Facilitate the Acquisition and Maintenance of Application Software,
Work with the business to specify the appropriate MCP system controls within the design of the application and facilitate the process of acquiring and defining maintenance guidelines for the application.
Ensure that the system implementation projects follow the VWGoA ITPO Project Management standards including insuring that all required documentation are current and accurate.
