Company Description:
We are working with a dynamic company in the Boston, MA area looking to fill Manager of I.T. infrastructure/Operations. This company has large amounts of transactions taking place on its website and needs 24x7 up time.

Job Description:
In this role, the selected candidate will manage a team and will be a “hands-on” leader as well as a technology visionary.

• Support heavily visited website that has large amounts of transactions
• Responsible for the design and deployment of the production databases, network, servers, appliances and 3rd party applications to support a 24x7 highly available site with disaster recovery.
• Operational experience in "Software as a Service" (SaaS) environment with intimate knowledge of architectural methodologies.
• Must have 10+ years experience managing an Infrastructure team
• Must have high proficiency in the Windows 2003 Server and Unix/Linux Operating Systems
• Experience with EMC SAN solutions a plus
• Must have experience performing capacity planning activities and hardware sizing for J2EE applications.
• Solid experience on one or more of the following J2EE environments: Weblogic, Websphere, JBoss
• Must have demonstrated experience architecting and integrating systems in multi-user, multi-platform, multi-tasking operating systems environments (e.g., Unix, Linux, Windows 2K3)
• Overall responsibility for the staff and functional management for the areas of Network, Database and Systems administration as well as Network Operations and Security.
• Implement all policies and procedures required to support 24x7 operations
• Budgetary responsibility supporting an aggressive business plan in addition to all 3rd party vendor management for all technical components of the enterprise.
