Litigations and investigations increasingly rely on collecting, preserving and analyzing vast amounts of data. As the amount of data increases, from a cost perspective it becomes imperative to refine what is turned over for actual review. More importantly, the work has to be done accurately and timely. The key is to have the right blend of software and people to ensure this happens. The BTP Legal eDiscovery team now seeks two skilled IT professionals to fill the role of eDiscovery Analyst.

Reporting to the eDiscovery Senior Manager, the analyst will work in a hands-on capacity to identify, preserve, collect, and analyze electronically-stored information. The analyst must have a high attention to detail, be very flexible, and have the ability and desire to learn new technical tools and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Perform technical work utilizing defined procedures and tools
Identify data custodian user IDs and data store locations
Collect data from data custodians
Search data per instructions
Communicate with data custodians and requesters as necessary
Define solutions to exceptions that occur during the performance of technical work
Utilize IT skills and experience to define potential solutions to technical exceptions
Communicate potential technical solutions to eDiscovery management, requesters, and/or other IT groups
Collaborate with external vendors other internal IT groups as required
Perform audits on technical work
Perform administrative tasks
Accurately and timely report progress, schedule, and issues for technical work
Accurately and timely document technical work

Required Experience/Skills:
Minimum 5 years of IT security, operations, or technical support
Minimum 1 year of hands-on eDiscovery experience
Experience working with advanced eDiscovery tools such as Attenex, Autonomy, Clearwell, Kazeon, MetaLincs, and/or Stored IQ
Experience working identifying, acquiring, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence.
Familiarity with general computer forensic practices and tools such as Encase, FTK, and/or BlackBag Macintosh Forensic Suite
Ability to meet deadlines and perform activities in a time critical, highly confidential process
Ability to understand and follow policies and processes
Ability to both operate and learn highly technical software
Ability to interact and communicate with legal department staff and other requesters of electronically-stored information
Ability to describe, summarize, and/or document how work was performed and the final results of such work
Ability to interact with other IT groups such as messaging, networking teams, and deskside support
Ability to hold work processes and activities confidential
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to change priorities and be flexible
Strong analytical and verbal skills

Exceptional problem-solving ability
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to follow a project plan
Flexibility for overtime and occasional travel
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience working with databases such as SQL Server and Microsoft Access
Ability to create, maintain and manage databases and other systems for retaining and tracking electronically-stored information
Familiarity with HFS, HFS+, FAT32, NTFS file systems.
Provide technical assistance to requesters of electronically-stored information
