Lead team of technical employees through technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and post implementation support for PeopleSoft projects.

Design, develop and support application solutions to meet departmental requirements including highly complex application components and integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms.

Complete the analysis, design, development and implementation of PeopleSoft HCM and FIN 8.x

Maintain production and development databases (Sql Server 6.5, 7,2000 and Oracle (i). Provide support and problem resolution to applications or system issues as needed



Backup/restore as needed for SQL Server and Oracle database. Provide support to systems administered by Applications Development on a 24 hour per day, seven day per week basis

Perform trouble shooting and monthly maintenance functions

Administer PeopleSoft financials and Human Resource system, includes upgrades, bundles updates (patches and fixes) environment refreshes, monitoring of application server, web server, process scheduler and database

Monitors Systems and Applications maintained by Applications Development to ensure smooth running.

Coordinates and participate in general meetings and discussions with Business and It Directors/Managers as well as cross-functional team members

Participates in critical meetings with senior functional and IT managers and establish long-term strategic relationships with key internal business partners

Monitors changes made to the various Production environments to ensure
(continued) compliance with applicable federal, state and local rules, laws and regulations.

Consolidates and distribute periodic it reports to senior IT management and to business leaders

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of the principles, practices and method of PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System (HRMS)/Financials modules (version 8.x), Database administration, storage management, backup and recovery, performance monitoring, turning, database integrity and security.

Knowledge and understanding of current IT and computer science concepts, issues, practices, methodologies and trends, particularly those relevant to database design and administration

Skilled in organization and interpersonal relations necessary to work effectively with a wide variety of clients, outside consultants and vendors

Skilled in communicating clearly and effectively in oral, written or graphic for

Ability to understand business and system (PS) process interdependencies

Ability to lead a team of technical employees through the complete life cycle of various aspects of the PeopleSoft project from analysis to post implementation and to explain complex information to non-technical staff

Ability to establish work priorities and manage workload independently and to learn new technical skills quickly

Ability to translate needs analysis results into functional designs

Ability to maintain harmonious work relationships with staff, students, faculty and University officials and the general public

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Finance or closely related field and six (6) years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of ten (10) years combined relevant education and experience. Education should include coursework in PeopleSoft HRMS development and administration. Two years experience in a PeopleSoft or other ERP software implementation project preferred. PMP certification desired as well as experience with an automated human resources/payroll in a higher education environment highly desired. Experience with PeopleSoft 8.8. and above required;
