Our client, is the world's leading publisher of science and health information and serves more than 30 million scientists, students, and health and information professionals worldwide has an immediate opening for a Senior Project Leader responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts.

The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for driving the project to a successful business result, overall coordination, status reporting and stability of project oriented work efforts. The Senior Project Manager will also:

? Assemble project plans and teamwork assignments, direct and monitor work efforts on a daily basis, identify resource needs of all project team contributors
? Contribute to business case, work with IT contributors to estimate schedule and cost of project
? Track key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers
? Ensure all project documentation is captured, updated and distributed on time
? Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed
? Escalate outstanding issues through established channels as necessary
? Focus on the management of significant projects (e.g., new business and product initiatives, and establishment of control procedures); projects are typically multi-disciplinary, requiring a broad knowledge of the business and key functions

PREFFERED QUALIFICATOINS:
? A minimum of 10-12 years of relevant work experience
? A minimum of 3-4 years in a project management role
? Ability to manage projects with budgets >$500K and with a high level of complexity and strategic impact
? Experience using software tools for project management tasks such as Microsoft Office, MS-Project and SharePoint
? Previous experience managing large scale software development and deployment projects, especially in web application and services environment
? Fully knowledgeable of the Product Development process
? Possess extensive knowledge and expertise in resource management practices, change management techniques, and data management
? Experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Health Insurance Industry is preferred
? Experience with Iterative and Waterfall product development methodology in an electronic publishing environment is highly desirable
? PMI certification preferred

EDUCATION:
? Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
