This position is in the Database Administration group. The Database Administration group is responsible for providing database administration support for operational information systems that utilize databases and for providing development support to the Applications Development groups and other areas and individuals that utilize databases. It is also responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes and procedures to ensure the availability, confidentiality, security and quality of data in our databases.

The primary purpose of this position is to support the InterSystems Caché post-relational database management system and the Oracle relational database management system (RDBMS) software in support of all ITG supported applications that utilize the InterSystems Caché and Oracle RDBMS.

Qualifications
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and six years of information technology related experience including application development (four years of the required experience should include database administrator experience on the same or similar database, with experience in database recovery, backups and system tuning, as well as operating system administration and one year of the required experience should include programming on the same or similar database);
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and eight years of information technology related experience including application development (four years of the required experience should include programming on the same or similar database with the responsibilities that included working with backup programs, data recovery programs and system administration experience and one year of the required experience should include experience performing database administrator related functions with experience in recovery, backups and system tuning);

Experience:
• Four years of combined experience with InterSystems Caché post-relational database and/or Oracle Enterprise RDBMS with a strong working knowledge of systems analysis, application development and data base administration in the Unix operating system environment.
• Experience working with the InterSystems Caché post-relational database version 4.1 and 5.0 and/or Oracle Enterprise RDBMS version 9i, 10g or 11g as a database administrator.
• Demonstrated ability to work with independence and initiative while also meeting reporting obligations.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Experience in data warehouse / operational data store/data repository development or database administration.
• Experience in an academic medical center or other healthcare environment.
• Experience working with InterSystems Caché post-relational database and/or Oracle Enterprise RDBMS as an application developer.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database(s).
• Experience with other host operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server, and with moving data between UNIX and these other operating system environments.
• Experience in a multi-platform development/operational environment such as Apache, Oracle 9iAS/10g and/or Microsoft IIS.
• Experience with database triggers and referential integrity functions.
• Experience with application interface tools such as Cold Fusion, Oracle Portal, and Java
• Experience with directory services (LDAP)

• Experience with Epic Clarity Reporting database
• Experience with DPA (Decision Point Applications) data warehouse application.
• Experience with Epic Systems healthcare applications.
• Experience with Banner Oracle Data Store data warehouse application.
• Experience with SMS Data Warehouse, other SMS Client Server applications and platforms.

Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses:
• Oracle Certified Database Administrator Professional or Master.

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and/or background check.
