Job Summary:
Responsible for providing Technical and architectural design, systems administration, and expert understanding of the development practices for the current and planned applications in the Business Intelligence and Forecast and Planning areas. Responsibilities also include Installation and configuration of BI intelligence and Enterprise Planning applications, providing systems planning and architecture support, performing system upgrades, system and application tuning, system performance measurement and reporting, patch/support pack application and the overall governance of the application infrastructure area. This individual will be responsible for day-today system maintenance including providing operational/production support, oncall support, outage co-ordination and management, and general trouble shooting and resolution of any/and all issues in the application infrastructure area. Responsible for collaborating with the outsourcing partner and the Architecture group in the areas of system administration, OS and DB support, Application network related issues, Capacity planning and performance measurement and reporting, and other areas as appropriate. Also, responsible for working with the software vendor and other business partners for the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies for the Application Infrastructure areas

Requirements:
7 + years of progressive IT experience in the Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence or Planning application areas or other system administration areas is required
· 3+ years work experience in managing the infrastructure for Cognos suite of products is required (Cognos 8 is preferred)
· Experience with Cognos administration tools is required
· Experience in installation, upgrade, configuration, and administration is required
· Experience with Windows, AIX, and Linux is required
· Experience with DB2 and Informatica ETL is preferred
· Experience with Cognos BI and Planning tools is required
· 2+ years experience in Architecture/Solution design, prototyping, development & implementing within the Cognos environment is required
· 2+ yrs of technical experience in cube design, data extraction, performance tuning, and prior experience designing and driving enterprise development initiatives is preferred

Education: BS or BA degree in Information Technology or Business related field
