The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a SQL Senior Database Administrator to join its talented team of IT professionals. CBN combines the latest in technology with a passion for excellence. This is an opportunity to improve current database performance and develop new designs.

To be successful in this position, you will have advanced experience in Microsoft SQL technologies including installation, configuration, backups, maintenance, security and job systems as well as writing stored procedures and triggers. The Database Administrator will work with custom web applications, 3rd party software and custom interfaces. A MCDBA is desired. Specific job requirements include:

• Minimum of seven (7) years experience in designing, developing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases and database systems
• Experience with data analysis and data modeling; data warehouse experience a plus
• Experience administering database servers including installation, configuration, maintenance, backups, and replication
• Experience creating data transformation services (DTS) or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
• Strong T-SQL and Stored Procedure coding abilities
• Experience providing SQL support for BizTalk and SharePoint Server
• Experience in optimizing databases and performance tuning; solid understanding of referential integrity and the use of indexes
• Experience migrating databases and/or changes between environments
• Experience implementing and supporting 3rd party applications and web-based applications
• Ability to gather and review requirements and provide accurate estimates of work
• Experience managing projects or tasking for team members
• Experience making technical architecture decisions for Enterprise level database systems
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and research skills
• Ability to document systems and/or procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite including Word and Excel
• Excellent written and oral communications and teamwork skills
• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering preferred. Microsoft SQL Server Certifications a plus.
