As a J2EE Developer and a member of PNC's Information Technology organization of more than 1,100 professionals, you will be based in downtown Pittsburgh, where you will partner with numerous software developer teams to launch ground-breaking products to our clients. Drawing upon your understanding of complete systems development cycles, you will work with various product development teams as they complete the design process, advising and assisting them to help move projects into production. Essential job functions will include your experience in Web Content System application support and administration, helping Content publishers with access permission, new user setup, content templates and page design changes.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to perform J2EE development work for the MIS eCommerce team. The team designs, implements and supports multiple internet applications for various business segments, including pnc.com and PNC On-line Banking to complement content management application functions. You will also provide on-call technical support for 24x7 production applications.
The hours follow a basic workweek, but also require some tailoring to the needs of your internal clients. In a typical day, your internal clients will call upon you for both tactical and long-term support, drawing upon your technical knowledge and business savvy. Working with priorities jointly set by your business group and the IT organization, you'll enjoy significant access and exposure to senior bankers at PNC, while working in a familiar IT-intensive culture and a state-of-the-industry facility.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

· At least three years experience with Java/J2EE application development
· Experience in XML, Perl, Struts JSP's, Servlets, EJB's, JDBC on any application servers. and SQL/Oracle is required.
· Knowledge of Web 2.0 related consumer product experience but not limited to social media, user generated content and distributed applications is preferred
· Familiarity of the hosting environment (Websphere/Apache) is preferred
· Experience with agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum) and continuous integration (build process automation, unit test automation) is preferred
· Familiarity with IBM LWCM tool is preferred.
· Familiarity with Web Content Management is preferred.
· Experience with financial services applications is preferred.
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Initiative, leadership, and proven ability to work in a team is required
· Understanding of the complete System Development Life Cycle is preferred
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems is preferred
