PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Plans, designs, and coordinates the production of specialized multimedia instructional products for a specified educational program or service activity, to include educational videos and associated aids, educational websites, and/or interactive web-based training programs

The Rich Media Designer/ Program Manager will work extensively with Instructional Designers, Performance Consultants, and VU Project/ Program Managers to validate messaging/ learning priorities and design deliverables which utilize multi media and web based technologies.

This person will work in a virtual team Center of Excellence to develop/recommend appropriate media for course development. Throughout the development cycle, the Rich Media Designer/ Program Manager will collaborate with VU Program Managers who represent LOBs, other subject matter experts, LOB and /or regional teams, training vendors and consultants to build dynamic learning solutions. This individual will also work with other VU members who act as liaison with other CLIENT functions. The Rich Media Designer/ Program Manager will also collaborate and create requirements enabling other internal functions to support new learning venues as required.

The ability to understand key sales will be critical element for the instructional designer's success.

Ability to use objects within Flash (Movie Clip Object, Sound Object, Key Object, Color Object, Date Object, XML Object
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
1. Works with Performance Consultants and Instructional Designers to analyze needs and to determine goals, objectives, and appropriate delivery methods/ media for instructional products.
2. Plans, designs, and coordinates the development of video, audio and/or web based training products; works with Instructional Designers to effectively adapt curriculum content to prescribed medial delivery format, develops scripts and story boards, and establishes design concepts.
3. Edits videos and creates “green screen” effects.
4. Oversees, coordinates, and directs the production and editing of media training products including video ensuring conformance to specified educational objectives and professional production standards.
5. Plans, designs, and develops associated educational aids and materials, utilizing computerized graphic design and desktop publishing techniques and equipment.
6. Works with other VU members to analyze production timeline needs and coordinate the procurement of vendors/contractors if required.
7. Instructs, assigns work, and functionally supervises vendor/contract employees engaged in project specific work activities.
8. Complies with predetermined style guidelines and make recommendations for ongoing improvement of style-guidelines.
9. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.



WORK EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience in Rich Media Design and Development, preferably with direct experience developing training for sales and technical audiences. Experience working within sales organizations is key as well as working in a global environment. Candidates must have an understanding of learning & development processes and the ability to managing large, complex projects.
