We have a position for ORACLE DBA ( zOS / Linux platform ) consultant in Winnipeg / Regina, Canada

Responsibilities:

-- Primarily monitor and manage Oracle Database in zOS / Linux platforms. Secondary roles in maintaining DB2 / UDB on Linux
-- Maintain database backup and recovery procedures that support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery service levels.
-- Perform monitoring and tuning for performance for storage management and analyze results for future enhancements to the system.
-- Roles include capacity planning, performance tuning, installation, upgrades and maintenance.
-- Provide Level 2 / 3 support, serve as single point of contact for escalation and resolution
-- Experience in financial industry and maintenance of large scale financial database a big plus.

Qualifications:

-- BS in Computer Science.
-- 8-10 years Oracle DBA experience on zOS / Linux.
-- DB2 / UDB on Linux
-- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Start - 2 weeks
Duration - 1yr contract ( Extension of 1yr contract )
