As a Pre/Post Sales Network & Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility is to provide design, implementation and support services to the company's customers as part of a designated sales and engineering.

A strong comfort level with, and previous experience in customer-facing role will be critical to this position, as well as high level of expertise in hands-on network and systems engineering. Special focus will be put on Microsoft and Cisco technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs pre- and post-sales activities, both client-facing and independent work. Contribute to the technical qualification of client opportunities with sales partners.
• Conducts analysis, prepares reports, and works on project implementation. Serve as technical liaison with vendors.
• Develops technical proposals and quotes and assists in responding to RFPs/RFQs/RFIs.
• Develops Statements of Work, project estimates, and contributes to project planning.
• Develops and performs technical presentations to a variety of audiences.
• Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications
• Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
• Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
• Conducts feasibility studies on strategic and tactical plans, designs digital/analog networks, and evaluates network services/technology for current and future network development.
• Performs complex technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems integration for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems
• Plans, designs, and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 5+ years administration of and engineering involving modern Windows Server products (2000/2003/2008)
• 5+ years administration of and engineering involving modern Windows desktop products (2000/XP/Vista/7)
• 2+ years interaction with MS SQL Server (2000/2005/2008), inc. installation, troubleshooting, basic queries, and basic configuration.
• 5+ years experience with routing and switching technologies, inc. installation, troubleshooting, and configuration.
• Ability to demonstrate fundamental technical understanding of communications networks, such as protocols, network components, design elements and architecture
• Must demonstrate intermediate knowledge of platform operating systems (router platforms, LAN, WAN, and router protocols) and how they interact with the network
• Must possess fundamental network troubleshooting skills necessary to perform operational and support functions
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Must have excellent customer service skills including the ability to interface well with customers, end users, partners and associates

DESIRED SKILLS:
• Previous Presales and/or consulting experience desired
• Certifications like CCNA, and MCSE would be considered a plus


• Must be able to pass a drug screen and/or background check.
