Project Description: We are building a SCRUM team to develop enhancements and upgrades to core clinical application that hospitals use to manage their clinical workflows.



Environment: This is a fast paced environment (XP, Agile, SCRUM) so candidates must be able to maintain organization and discipline.



Day to day responsibilities:

· Application development engineering tasks using C++ and other Microsoft technologies for a hospital clinical workflow application

· Participates in design, maintenance, enhancement, testing, implementation and support of clinical software

· Support the development of software test requirements for semi-complex modules under development, may execute semi-test specs

· Participates in providing estimates for semi-complex modules under development, may estimate own work

· Supports the reviewing of semi-complex customer's standards, specification and other documentation to determine software engineering requirements

· Participates in presentation of technical findings and developments

· Provides support with the software quality process through the execution of semi-complex module subsystem and system test procedures



Biggest Technical Challenge:

· Performs above work that requires processing and interpreting more complex, less clearly defined specs



Required Skills:

· C++ in a windows environment

· SQL in a SQL Server Environment (creating stored procedures)

· HTML, XML, XSL

· .net experience

· UI, Javascript, AJAX/Flex



Soft Skills (very important)

-Must have passion for medical SW development work. They are looking for people who are excited about the type of work they will be doing.

-Agile Scrum personality?must have a passion for an Agile environment

-Task Driven

-Confident in abilities--not arrogant

-Must be able to explain themselves and their experience in depth





Desired Skills:

· XP and/or agile experience preferred (standard SCRUM environment)

· Data modeling experience

· Websphere application configuration experience

· Acceptance testing experience

· Domain experience with Orders and Medical Records
