As a key member of the Information System & Technology team, the DBA is responsible for design, maintenance and to ensure high availability of a 24X7 Production database system. Day-to-day duties also include planning and implementation of processes to streamline database changes across several environments.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for development of stored procedures, triggers and ETL scripts
* Proactively monitor the Production Database and optimize stored procedures for better performance. Resolve locking conflicts and resource utilization
* Ensure all database environments (Development, Staging, QA and Production) are in sync. Define db scripts versioning system to keep track of database versions for all environments
* Manage and Create database schemas for Relational Database Systems (optimize index creation, table creation, storage allocations, etc.)
* Provides technical assistance to other DBA team members and/or application groups when requested.
* Creates scripts to automate DBA tasks.
* Responsible for extensive application/SQL monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning SQL Server RDBMS and Oracle RDBMS environment

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology or equivalent experience
* Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience administering SQL Server 2005 RDBMS and above as a Systems DBA. Additional experience administering Oracle 10g RDBMS and above is a distinct plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, a self-starting attitude and good communication skills are essential
* Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and as a member of the production support team
* Experience with Backup & Recovery, Security, Performance monitoring and tuning
