75%--Manages the Agency's DB2 V7,V8 databases on IBM Z/OS Mainframe and V9.1 on AIX:
• Installing and configuring the DB2 Enterprise Server Edition
• Monitoring database utilization and performance tuning
• Ensuring adequate database backup to meet customer requirements, performing recovery when required
• Data storage capacity planning and space management
• Data access authorization and management
• Data interface support and data migration and conversion management
• Database software maintenance, release and version management and migration
• Support of application development in application of programming best practices, SQL tuning and database design
• Support and troubleshooting of customer online transaction processing system issues
• Database reorganization and statistics analysis for optimum performance
• Support of DB2 based data warehouse and customer information query systems
• Planning and assessment of future data information needs of the agency
• Establish and document database standards, policies and procedures
• Establish and maintain data dictionary ensuring uniformity of definitions and setting standards for use of data dictionary

15%--Assist the planning, design, modification and enhancement of new and existing IT systems which support the Agency mission, objectives and goals. Participate with customers, IT management, system designers, developers and infrastructure managers to coordinate and ensure efficient and effective implementation of new application systems and change to existing systems.

10%--Programming and support for extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data for data warehouse and data integration initiatives. Creation of automated systems for data warehouse ETL and refresh with failover and notification. Creation and maintenance of shell scripts for management of data warehouse ETL
