Our client, a privately held IT firm, is seeking a seasoned UI Developer to join their NYC team. They offer excellent benefits, a can do mentality setting and are looking for the same. This assignment is on a right to hire basis.

Job Description:

The User Interface Developer is responsible for developing user interface components for internal and customer applications. The Developer must be able to participate in the entire software development life cycle (requirements, design, development, test and implementation) of proof-of-concept applications in a multi-platform environment. The ideal candidate will be accustomed to working in a fast-paced, small-team environment with a results-driven focus and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of overall experience in user interface development
- Expertise in Adobe Air development using:
o HTML / AJAX / JavaScript (preferred)
o Flash / ActionScript
o Flex
o XML
- Proficiency in web services interaction (i.e. SOAP / REST protocols)
- Knowledge of the following technologies:
o Java
o C# / .NET
o SQL Server 2005
- OO approach with focus on modularity and reusability
- Understanding of user requirements
- Strong design capabilities
- Desirable attributes: Self-thinker, flexibility, detail-oriented, organized
