Performance Engineer/Analyst

The candidate should have strong experience with software development in a multi-tier environment for midrange and mainframe platforms. In-depth experience in performance and capacity, tuning, trending and monitoring. Ability to translate business and technical requirements for performance and capacity planning.

Candidate should be capable of working from day one to serve as a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Performance and Capacity planning initiatives for the project. This project will be utilizing midrange and mainframe platforms and will support SOA technologies for Enterprise Service Bus and a Business Rules Engine.

Tasks:

1. Support performance analysis for Claims Enhancement project
2. Support the establishment of performance KPIs
3. Support performance monitoring and reporting initiatives.
4. Development and maintenance of performance test scripts.
5. Support performance testing initiatives.
6. Provide Production Environment and Infrastructure support for the Project.
7. Create all necessary documents and communicate to the team in support of the project.
8. Provide pre and post implementation support for Test and Production environments.
9. Conduct training and knowledge transfer on new environments with FTEs.

Specific Required Skills:

1. Demonstrated and proven Performance Analysis with Enterprise Service Bus OR Business Rules Engine projects/environments
2. Application performance Analyst with exposure to projects that have used ESB and BRE platforms.
3. Experience in Midrange and mainframe platforms.
4. Experience with Setting up application and system Monitoring and reporting.
5. Ability to define and establish Performance KPI's.
6. Experience with developing Performance Strategy plan.
7. Strong capability for executing performance simulations, capturing, analyzing and interpreting results
8. Prepare performance results for review and determine expected product scalability.
