Currently seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Financial Manager to work in the Washington, DC Metro Area.

The purpose of this position is to direct staff and consultants involved with analytical and technical tasks related to the PeopleSoft Financial implementation.

This position will supervise professional, para-professional and technical employees assigned to Financial PeopleSoft tasks.

Internal contacts include executives, administrators, facility, students and staff of the department Information Systems and Services and the company at large. External contacts include vendor technical support and PeopleSoft technical and functional users at other entities.

Plans and manages application design, architecture activities, application assessment and requirement activities relating to Financial.

Participates in cross-functional discussions to optimize sharing and overlap of information systems and services

Provide expert guidance to management and staff in defining key capabilities and requirements to support the achievement of strategic objectives

Analyzes implementation issues, e.g. integration points, customization and complex interface design

Plans and establishes after go-live activities including ongoing application support, interfaces and reporting requirements

Researches, analyzes and implements strategies for application upgrades, product advancements and program enhancements

Creates project deliverable templates and standards (including coding standards, etc.)

Plans and manages program-wide application build, test, and deploy activities

Identifies, monitors and evaluates interdependencies between various application implementation activities and recommends appropriate resolutions

Provides cost benefit analyses of alternative solutions for implementation issues

Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field and six (6) years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of ten (10) years combined relevant education and experience. Education or experience may include coursework in PeopleSoft HRMS development and administration. Five years experience in a PeopleSoft software implementation project required. Masters degree in information science related field preferred.

Knowledge of human resources processes and functions, including workforce administration, talent acquisition management, payroll, benefits administration, pension administration, time and labor, salary planning and fit/gap analysis

Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials V8.9 or higher; Process orientation; and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Demonstrated knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in PeopleSoft and the ability to perform cost benefit analyses of alternative solutions for implementation issues

Demonstrated skill in network and PC configuration with ability to troubleshoot and test network and PC hardware and software as related to PeopleSoft

Demonstrated skill in applying creativity and exercising good judgment to resolve complex project problems and anomalies

Good interpersonal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a diverse population

Demonstrated ability to serve as resource person to assist client users of PeopleSoft resources as well as to analyze implementation issues e.g. integration points, customization and complex interface design

Ability to organize, prioritize and perform varied tasks in the most efficient and effective manner, and independently as required

Ability to maintain high customer satisfaction

Ability to operate within a team environment

Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with students, faculty, staff and the general public
