Our client, a successful, growing company in Janesville WI is looking for a Front End Web Developer for a long-term contract role with a strong potential for contract to hire. The candidate selected will interface with graphic designers and backend developers to implement layouts for intranet, brand, corporate and B2B web applications. Duties will include scripting using ActionScript 3 and JavaScript to provide interactive Flash components and AJAX support within existing and future applications. Will create application mock ups for future functionality and new web sites; and create JavaScript object models, parse and create XML objects, implement object-oriented design concepts using JavaScript and parse messages using JavaScript.

Requirements:
* Strong CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and XHTML knowledge is required along with a strong understanding of AJAX, JSON, DOM scripting and traversing XML.
* Working knowledge of JSP's, open source tag libraries (i.e. JSTL) and use of custom tag libraries.
* Extensive experience with JQuery JavaScript library; Experience in writing reusable and object-oriented JavaScript code libraries
* Ability to implement complex designs in a cross-browser environment and the ability to evaluate open source frameworks and libraries on client and server side
* Experience with SVN, CVS, or other SCM
* Experience with Flex, Silverlight, and/or Java

Desired Experience:
* Ability to write and maintain ActionScript 3 (Flash) applications
* Experience interacting with Struts and Spring MVC and general understanding of MVC architecture and OOP style
* Experience in writing client side code unit test cases using frameworks such as JsUnit, JWebUnit, etc.; editing and resizing images using Adobe Photoshop; Knowledge of Image Magick
* Ability to write and maintain Ruby on Rails applications
