I am recruiting for Nexidia http://www.nexidia.com with an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic, senior level software engineer and successful hands-on architect.

Experience using Java to implement telephony systems, especially call signaling, is essential.

This is an opportunity to play a key role as a Senior Telephony Software Engineer with the innovation leader in phonetic-based video and audio search engine technology. A simple definition for this bleeding edge technology would be “Google for audio”. Utilizing technology originally developed at Georgia Tech, the company was created in 2000 and is growing rapidly with 100 employees at its Atlanta, GA (Buckhead) headquarters. Nexidia was named the Winner of the 2009 Speech Technology magazine Market Leader Award in the Speech Analytics category for the third consecutive year.

Telephony Software Engineer -- Senior level JAVA expert -- Atlanta with innovation leader in phonetic-based video and audio search engine technology.

Must have skills:
Strong problem solving and resolution skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
BS/MS in Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent work experience.

Required experience:
Expert JAVA programmer with specific skills implementing scalable telephony including Java threading, concurrency, networking, and IO.
Expert in telephony call signaling and control protocols -- both VoIP (SIP, H.323), and PSTN (SS7), as well as RTP for transferring call audio
Automated unit testing (xUnit), source control systems (CVS, Subversion, Perforce).
Software design patterns, algorithms, and application profiling
Linux or Windows OS

Nice to have experience:
Previous work with a major phone switch vendor (e.g. Avaya, Nortel, Cisco).
Eclipse development processes.
Agile development processes (Scrum, XP).
JAVA SE6
