Ideal candidate shall possess a MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 4+ years or a BS degree with 6 + yrs of experience.

Project:

Candidate will be part of the fast growing Linux software organization in the MG Group. This division is responsible for shipping silicon and software products for various discrete and multi-comm wireless technologies including WiFi and WiMAX for several mobile and ultra-mobile platforms.

Daily Responsibilities:

As part of this team, candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting and delivering software solution stacks on Linux* OS. Your expertise in development of Linux kernel modules preferably in the wireless networking domain will yield high performing, product quality software that is ready to ship to large OEMs and ODMs. Your balance across product objectives and Open Source will be critical to deliver Linux based products in a corporate environment.

Candidate will also be responsible for debugging complex system issues across the stack including kernel, drivers, firmware as well as user-space modules.

Must Have Skills:

- Excellent SW development, debugging and testing skills in C
- At least 3 + years of solid Linux* driver development experience preferably for a networking product
- Experience in 802.11 Linux stack would be a plus
- Solid experience with and in-depth understanding of Linux kernel and driver development with special focus on networking components
- Interfacing with Linux* distributions and OEM/ODMs for integration and issue resolution
- Strong commitment to deliver on schedule and with high quality
- Excellent knowledge of development models in corporate teams as well as open source
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Experience interacting with the open source community
- Experience with network protocols such as TCP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with kernel level debugging
