Position Description:
This is a senior staff position within the Applications Support team reporting to the Systems Manager. This position will primarily build and support non-production environments including Dev, QA & performance but may occasionally provide production support. The individual will collaborate with development and testing teams to create environments and support methodologies to best support the business needs. This individual will also provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff members.
-Analysis of problems in design, configuration, data flow, data state within a highly complex multi product provisioning or OSS system based primarily on java code running on Weblogic, Aqualogic BPM & Service Bus
-Assist with or lead efforts to build new application infrastructure coordinating efforts across teams as needed to facilitate solution implementation
-Rapidly isolate and remediate issues impacting developers or testers working with other groups as needed
-Work closely with tools development teams to automate routine tasks and test automation destined for production use
-Provide after hours support for code deployments, changes and general support/troubleshooting
-Contribute design considerations for new products or architectural changes to existing products
-Mentor Jr. staff providing guidance based on observations and requests as necessary in conjunction with formal group training sessions
-Evaluate and recommend changes to platform support methodologies including monitoring, tools, techniques and specific elements
-Work closely with development teams or vendors to track bug fixes or patches ensuring timely deployment
-Participate in a variety of meetings and status calls including projects, troubleshooting & testing
-Serve as a highly available point of escalation on a 7x24 basis

Minimum Requirements:
• B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, MS preferred
Minimum Experience:
-5 years of direct support experience with accountability for availability
-5 years combined design and support/administration experience in BEA Weblogic Server
-2 years combined design and support/administration experience in Service Oriented Architecture specifically Aqualogic Service Bus, Aqualogic BPM strongly preferred.
-5 yrs combined development & support of complex high volume transactional systems
-5 years of combined programming/scripting experience in any of the common languages such as Java, C++, Perl, Shell etc
-5 years integrating Weblogic environments with OSS platforms
-5 Years development or support experience with Oracle and SQL
-7 years of Linux or Unix experience, RHEL & Solaris preferred
-3 years XML messaging
