QUALIFICATIONS -- EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
•Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the computer industry.
•May require a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
•Required certifications: MCSE, CCNA (or equivalent)
•Strong Cisco knowledge is desired

EXPERIENCE:
•Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
•Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
•Installing, maintaining, updating and troubleshooting network infrastructure equipment to include switches, routers and hubs.
•Install, maintain, update and troubleshoot various applications
•Active Directory
•Windows 2003/2008 Servers
•Exchange 2003/2007 Server
•Cisco Layer 2/3 switches
•Troubleshoot and maintain PIX/ASA firewalls
•Creating and maintaining sub-nets and VLANs for network security
•Wireless technology
•Hardware and software backup solutions SAN, NAS, DAS via Fibrechannel and iSCSI.
•Linux knowledge (Red Hat, Debian, etc.)
•Oracle Database Administration is a plus

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Logs all activities in a call ticket database
•Maintain a high level of user access and network availability.
•Install, maintain and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 Cisco switches and Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls
•Maintain and troubleshoot SAN, NAS, DAS via Fibrechannel and iSCSI.
•Add and upgrade various software applications and suites as required
•Windows Desktop Support utilizing Microsoft Windows XP/2000
•Windows Server Support utilizing Microsoft Windows 2000/2003
•Active Directory and Exchange support
•Analyze and implement Operating System patches, hot fixes, updates, virus protection and spyware removal.
•Install, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco switches
•Install, maintain and troubleshoot wireless systems.
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot backup systems (hardware and software)
