The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis has an opening for an Assistant Manager of FedACH CBAF. This is a challenging and rewarding role responsible for providing leadership and oversight of an ACH environment that supports a critical automated payment system. This position works and collaborates with multiple levels of staff within the Federal Reserve System and coordinates nationwide communication regarding the application. Primary responsibilities for this position will be:
Monitors a 24 x 7 electronic payment operation to ensure processing deadlines are met and procedures are followed. This position is a key decision maker in operational problem escalation processes and problem communications.

Oversees the actions necessary to accomplish department objectives and production/quality standards.

Identifies and analyzes operational impact of new projects, services, or automated systems.

Works with Development and Quality Assurance staff to coordinate the planning, testing, and implementation of software releases and enhancements.

Prepares and/or coordinates responses to correspondence from other Bank departments, other Reserve Banks, customers or industry groups.

Collaborates with department staff and management, including collaboration with a companion operations site geographically located in another state.

Provides guidance and mentoring to staff across three eight-hour shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd).

Assigns and evaluates staff, and initiates feedback and/or associated personnel actions.

Encourages staff suggestions and innovative problem solving.
Performs and/or coordinates administrative duties such as the verification of time sheets and the accurate and timely completion of administrative and operations reports.

Assists manager with budgeting & expenses, department objectives, and proposals for business systems changes.

Leads and/or participates in meetings with Bank workgroups and customers to resolve problems and communicate changes.

Maintains knowledge of ACH services, the FedACH operating environment and software.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with major or coursework in business, management, or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ACH experience or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification preferred.
6 years of experience in an automated processing operational environment to include two or more years of supervisor experience.
On-call 24X7.
Up to 5% travel.
Demonstrated coaching and staff development abilities.
Strong thinking/judgment skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work in a high-pressure and time sensitive environment.
