Administration of all new product development projects. Manage the Design Control Process procedure Responsibilities: Administration of Projects: •Oversee/administer/manage new product development projects. •Provides leadership to Project Management Staff. •Assign Project Managers and Project Leads to various projects. •Train Project Managers, Project Leads & team members on project management tools as needed. •Select team members with the input of Senior Management, the core team members •Work with management to assign Project Sponsors and priority. Manage the Design Control Process: •Manage all aspects/requirements of the Design Control Process •Implement and train members on the Design Control Process Procedure. Communication: •Communicate the project priorities, objectives & goals as mutually determined by Management on a routine basis. Management of Projects: •Conduct project team meetings; maintain Design Control Files, assign individual tasks to team members as needed. •Develop project plans including scope, time lines, budget, and project risk analysis from inception of a project to market release. •With appropriate input, develop and manage/oversee budgets for projects. •Monitor the progress of each project to achieve objectives and goals on time. •Identify and solve problems for projects as needed. •When team members belong to multiple teams, assist with prioritization of the time among the projects. •Motivate team members to meet team objectives and goals. Qualifications: •Four-year degree in an engineering discipline, 5+ years of project related experience, PMP certification required. •Previous experience supervising project managers is required. •Proven success in similar position related to product development in the Medical Device Industry. •Working knowledge of U.S. FDA and international medical device laws and regulations. •Ability to work closely with people in high demand situations. •Requires demonstrated, excellent written and verbal communications skills.
