This position is temporary, approximately 3 months in length, paying $18/hour.
Provide 1st and 2nd level installation support for the Smart Network 2009 IPTV rollout to 3rd party install technicians, PRN personnel on-site, and systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain phone coverage by starting your shift on time and logging into the assigned queues.
• Answer incoming calls from installation vendors.
• Provide 1st and 2nd level support including troubleshooting and diagnostics to install vendors, and on-site PRN personnel.
• Process part replacement requests if necessary.
• Work assigned Remedy ticket customer queues in a timely manner to meet SLAs
• Escalate calls/tickets in a timely manner to the Technical Lead
• When needed, work as a Project Assistant under the direction of the Technical Lead. As a Project Assistant a TSE will be a technical resource for rollout teams as well as assist in the preparation of rollout projects.
• Complete scheduled and unscheduled tasks as assigned by the Technical Services Group Manager or Technical Lead.
• Participate in regularly scheduled Call Center team meetings.
• Assist in the training of contractor staff.
• Assist in development of root cause.
• Meet individual/department SLAs
• Perform other job-related duties and work on special projects as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
• 2 Years of college education or technical training equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2 Years experience working in a Help Desk.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong customer service experience and processes
• Solid troubleshooting skills in software and hardware
• Solid knowledge of Windows OS, Linux OS a plus
• Solid understanding of computer technology and networking
• Strong communication, listening, and organization skills
• Excellent written skills and ability to type effectively
• Self motivated, detail oriented, and strong time management skills
• Flexibility to work different shifts: days, nights, weekends is appreciated
